LABORATORY ENGINEER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carries out a wide range of sampling and testing of civil construction materials both in the laboratory and in the field
• Performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations
• Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses
• Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
• keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability
• Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or Geology or other related field
• Good knowledge of lab equipment used in construction industry
• Good knowledge of maintaining and error identification for the equipment
• Good knowledge of standards used in testing procedures
• Good knowledge of materials used in the construction industry
